My review of eSalon hair color

Have you ever read about a product and heard some great reviews but never dared to try it yourself.  That is how I felt about eSalon.com.  They offer to send you professional hair color at low prices.  They claim they will look at a profile that you create and put together hair color that you normally go to the salon for.  I was skeptic about it to say the least.  I had even dared to mention it to my hair stylist.  Of course she said they can't possibly give the same service.  I agreed because they do not come to your house to apply the color!

Hair appointments have become bothersome to me as it takes way too long and they have become very costly.  I was spending an average of $130.00 to have my hair colored and get my hair trimmed (at times they even forgot to do my bangs).  It seemed like every time I went back there was more work to do.  My appointments would last three hours!  Who has that kind of time?  I also spent an hour of driving to get there and back.  It wasn't until my last appointment that they rushed through (the color came out orange) and they had to color my hair twice, that I realized maybe it was time to try eSalon out.

Here it goes!  I logged onto eSalon.com and quickly got through all the prompts and filled out all the pertinent information they needed.  I also added comments about my stubborn gray hair.  At the end they allow you to upload pictures of your current hair.  I took a couple quick photos which looked more like mug shots.  They were offering a deal of the first order being free!  I just had to pay the shipping of $4.95!  I added $9.95 for the tool kit also.  I mean, if I am going to color my own hair I want the proper tools!

My awful roots before coloring!

What I saw when I opened the box!
The kit and color arrived within days of ordering.  I was well on my way to either salon beautiful color or looking like my seven year old used her markers on my hair!
My tool kit that I can use again and again!

It arrived in a white box with eSalon.com written on it.  I opened the shipping box.  Inside was a sheer black bag with my tool kit in it.  The tool kit consisted of a mixing bowl, clips, a hair color brush and a timer with battery included.  Underneath that was a white box that I opened to see my name and the date on all the bottles and the personalized instructions.  They know how to make me feel special already.  Here's hoping I don't feel like shaving my head when I am finished!  Inside this box was also a box of accessories (two pairs of gloves, conditioner, stain guard and stain remover).
My hair color kit from eSalon
I followed the instructions which are very clear and easy to follow.  I chose to mix my color in the mixing bowl that came in the tool kit I purchased.  I applied the stain guard around my hairline.  The next step was applying the color to my roots.  It was pretty easy and I recommend a hand mirror to help with applying to the hair in the back.  I left the color on for 30 minutes.  The timer came in handy!

Now it was time to apply the remainder that was mixed with equal parts water to the rest of my hair.  That is only a two minute process and then I rinsed all the color and used a color safe shampoo to wash out excess color.  The conditioner was great.  I styled my hair as usual and surprisingly enough it felt and looked like I had just left the salon.  The color was gentle compared to the hair color you can buy at the drugstore.

My hair after coloring.
My name is on the bottle!

You can choose to be on auto delivery and the cost is $19.95 plus the $4.95 shipping fee.  I still think it is worth it as my hair feels much softer and healthier than when I have used the drugstore color.   Happy coloring to all you women out there and no need to break the bank for salon beautiful hair!

    1. I absolutely LOVE this product. I have used it now for 3 coloring sessions each 6 weeks apart. My first eSalon color was just a bit light the very first time around and the company adjusted it just a bit darker when I asked them to do simply that. They NAILED my color right on with the first adjustment and I am very happy with this product. I have never gotten a skin rash with it, and I am glad that the liquid is thick because I can extend the color just a bit on my thick hair for the coverage that I want by simply adding a few drops of water to it before application. I have lots of hard to color grey hair and it really covers well. My color is Medium Blonde (8.0-0b-ll) (MN-02-20V).

  2. Came across your blog while looking for reviews on eSalon - what color did you choose? I'm looking for something similar. Thanks for the great review!

  3. The e-salon service has been horrible. I placed an initial order with them about two months ago and received my hair color in about a week, which was fine. I was going from a light blonde to a light brown. I completed the entire hair profile and even submit pictures of my current hair color. When the box arrived I diligently read and followed all of the instructions. The total process took a lot longer than I thought it would to apply by myself vs. store bought hair dye (about 2 hours!) but I assumed that would get faster with experience.

The color came out non-brassy, which I liked, but it was lighter than expected and the coverage was horrible. There was a distinct difference between my roots and my color treated hair, even though I made this very clear in my hair profile and followed the instructions exactly. I contacted the company about this and they offered absolutely no help. All they recommended was sending pictures AGAIN when I ordered my NEXT hair treatment. No fix, no discount, no nothing. So I had decided not to order from them again.

Recently it was time again to dye my hair and I talked myself back into esalon for some reason…probably because the color is non-brassy like you can get with certain brown box dyes. I ordered on a Sunday and by the following Sunday I had no received any tracking information on my order. I emailed them and received the response that they hadn’t processed my order yet, which was fairly surprising. I received my previous order in about a week and here it had been about a week and my order hadn’t even shipped yet. I was doubly upset because the only indication on their website of their processing time says they send your product out the next day, which is clearly false advertising.

I called again and received the same, useless “customer service”. I was told the processing can take any number of days and when I pointed out that it was not what their website said all the representative could tell me was, “sorry”. They were also unwilling to expedite shipping or really provide any kind of service at all. In fact, they laughed when I suggested it. Unfortunately, because of the lack of processing there is no way I would get my product in time for an event I have this coming week. I had thought two weeks for processing and shipping would be way more than enough given the warranties on their website, but clearly not.

I would never recommend esalon. I’m sure there are other services like it out there whose products provide better coverage and whose customer service is actually that…customer service. I will definitely be moving on to someone else.

    1. I don't believe your story. I have been using e-salon for a year now and have had nothing but great customer service. I think you are a salon worker who wants to give e-salon a bad name. It is a great product. My daughter does it for me so it takes 15 minutes! I have paid $130 for years at a salon to have my hair colored and this is just as good as a real salon!

    2. To Anonymous who feels that people are out to get eSalon.. I too have had TERRIBLE customer service from this company. I colored my hair last week and now have 2 toned hair. I emailed them Sunday night, it's going into Friday morning and have yet to hear back from my colorist. Funny, because she was so quick to call me back when I received my order and had a question... yet now that my hair is ruined and I need help fixing it, she's too busy to call me back. I wish I was a disgruntled salon worker mad that eSalon was taking all my business.. but I'm not, I'm just a girl who's hair looks like it hasn't been dyed in 6 months because my roots are 3 shades darker than the rest of my head.

So glad that you have had a wonderful experience with them, but don't be quick to judge when not everyone feels the same.

    3. i have not yet tried the product, but i did make an order 7 days ago and have yet to receive anything. The tracking service tells me my shipment has been in Washington for 3 days when i'm all the way in Nebraska. i really hope its worth the wait

    4. I have tried esslon 3 times and the color isn't what it ssys. My biggest problem is that it makes your hair brittle and dried out. I followed the directions and finally had to cut 4inches off and have a salon help me fix it. I would go to a salon its well worth the money.

    5. I agree with Anonymous. Made my hair dry and so brittle it broke off! Hated the strong ammonia smell, hated the flat, monotone color which was the darkest medium brown there must be. I won't be re-ordering.

    6. In my opinion this product is not what it advertises. On my initial order, everything seemed great. They sent me one color for my roots and another color for my ends. Although the color came out a little darker than anticipated, I was very impressed that they did this. I sent an email to esalon to let them know that it was a little dark and they said they would adjust it. Six weeks later I received my next shipment. This time they only sent me one bottle of color and the instructions said to pull the color through after adding a little water to it in the shower. The process should only take about two minutes. I was a little skeptical because I wondered if my ends were going to match my roots. I reread the instructions again since this was completely different than the first time that I had used it. When I blow dried my hair I quickly realized that there was a drastic difference between my roots and my ends. I sent an email to esalon, but three days later have still not heard anything back. Needless to say I discontinued receiving my orders every six weeks and will no longer purchase this product. I think esalon should have made it clear that they only send two bottles with the first order. That was why I continued with the second order. At least respond to the email and try to resolve the issue. Bad customer service in my experience.

  4. I have been using eSalon for the last 4 months. I saw an ad and thought I would give it a try, as going to the salon every 4-5 weeks was costing a fortune and the store bought did not last. I have loved the service provided!! The color is fantastic and it lasts longer than the salon. I have recommended them to my friends. I also receive quite a few compliments on my color and when I say it isn't from a salon, people are shocked!!

  5. I have been using esalon color for almost a year, with great results. I like non brassy hair color, and they have really worked with me, going from permanent to demi perm, and from darker to lighter over a period of months, to get my color and coverage just right. I get lots of complements on my hair color (I am 50% grey and my color gives me great color and nice highlights). If you call and ask them questions, and really explore the possibilities, you can get what you are asking,

  6. I love eSalon! The color they formulated for me was perfect. I ordered the tool kit and using the brush and bowl makes root touch ups so easy and controlled. You can adjust your reorder shipping times easily and even pick a certain date for your next reorder if you find your orders coming to early or late.

  12. Thanks for your review, Kristey. Waiting for my first order. I was shipped yesterday. I just spent $90 on a Groupon coupon that I used four weeks ago. My grey roots are now an inch long so apparently the Groupon coupon was for "temporary color." Looking forward to eSalon. Thanks again!

  13. Initially I was pleased with esalon since I received the color kit relatively quickly, and I was pleased with how the color turned out. But within a week or so, the color began to fade, and after a few weeks the color had pretty much faded completely (color was permanent, and I use Pureology shampoo and conditioner, so it should have lasted longer). But what's worse, is that I've noticed my hair has gotten significantly thinner since using the product. I contacted esalon and explained the situation, and I said to be fair, I could not be 100% certain that my hair loss was due to their products, because hair loss can be attributed to many factors- stress, etc. But the timing coincided with when I noticed the thinning. Their response was to try a hair mask to add moisture to my hair....well that's not going to fix the problem of the hair that I've already lost! In regards to the color fading, they said a colorist would review my profile and would contact me about selecting a different product (not that I would want to try a new product). That was a week ago, and I've not heard from them since- no refund, apology, nothing. I think this is a case of you get what you pay for- I'm not sure what they use in their products, but it's no different (and perhaps worse) than box color you buy at the store. Now I have to deal with damaged hair- hair that is falling out and split ends. Bad product, bad customer service. From now on, I'm just going to spend the extra money and go to the salon. It's worth it in the end.

    3. Yes, and you probably own a salon that doesn't want anyone loving e-salon. Believe me, it is a great product. I get lots of compliments and I have saved so much money!!

    4. My hair is thinning terribly after using the product for about 6 months. I also noticed as others have that my root color mix was not the same as the original.
Think I'm going to go back to store color.
One thing I do like though is that the color does not fade as quickly as the store color.

    5. I have been having horrible breakage, which I never had before. My hair also feels dry and brittle. I like the color, now that I have figured out how to apply it evenly, and want to believe the breakage isn't from the product. However, the texture change is hard to ignore.

    6. I had the same reaction: dry, brittle, with hair loss. There's a lot of ammonia in the product and I couldn't stand the smell. It did cover the gray but only for a few weeks and I didn't like the flat, monotone color at all.

    7. I used the product once & was thrilled with the result - color & texture of my hair were both wonderful.

I reordered the product & used it two days ago. In three large areas, my hair broke off in chunks but straight across as it if had been cut with scissors.

I have always had very healthy hair - so healthy that I have never suffered from split ends. I am so saddened by this for I did have good delivery service & I do like the color but it seems that, perhaps, they have changed their formula. I have never had any product cause my hair to break off, therefore I am canceling my future orders.

    8. I used E-Salon for about a year then requested a lighter shade to try. I followed the instructions to the "t" and after about 3 weeks my hair looked like broom straw, massive split ends and breakage and worst yet my hair started falling out in clumps, from the roots, not only when I washed it but throughout the day. I noticed such an extreme thinning I contacted E-Salon and told them to immediately stop sending me their product. It's been 4 weeks now and my hair is still lifeless and still falling out...I'm sick to my stomach from it.

  14. I tried esalon several months ago. Most of the people who give good reviews have dark hair. i haven't seen any reviews for blond shades. I gave a detailed written description and they wouldn't ship until I sent a picture of my hair even though they sent out what I selected - iced golden blonde. They send two bottles with the first order - one for roots and a glossing dye for the rest of your hair. My hair came out too dark, sort of a light golden brown rather than blonde. gray coverage was OK. It was similar to some dyes that I had bought at Sally beauty and smelled strongly of ammonia.I don't know if I will try it again or not. It isn't that much better than L'Oreal or Ganier.

  15. NO STINKY HAIR!!!

Every other hair color I've had, whether professionally applied or box, left me with a harsh smell in my hair for several days. I had to sleep with a t-shirt inverted over my head, to keep from getting a migraine.

I can't believe that I was able to sleep with my hair "naked" the first night. This is a BIG deal for me.

    1. You must use clarifying shampoo. It will take the smell away. You can pick this up at Sally's

      Delete
    2. Do not use a clarifying shampoo on color treated hair. It will strip the color out of your hair along with much needed moisturizers that are necessary after chemically altering your hair.

  16. The first time I used eSalon I was thrilled. The color was just right and I was happy with the texture after coloring. My second box came labeled exactly the same but had a very strong smell and turned my blond hair a very dark brown, but not all over. Since I was concentrating on my gray roots, I had about 3 inches of almost black roots with various blotches, especialy on the back of my head and blond ends. I looked like a 10 year old had colored my hair. I called customer service and was told I had to send new photos of my hair and they would send me a free kit. I was too fearful of making it worse and the thought of this happening again if I continued scared me off. Customer service also suggested that I wash my hair multiple times to tone down the dark color. That had no effect and it ended up taking multiple colorings to finally get rid of the spots.

  17. esalon.com is a awful product, it does not cover grey hair at all, does not last long, as it washes out after a couple of washings, it damaged my long healthy hair because it dried it out causing it to break and fall out. Color match was awful. I will never use it again will stick to my soy based hair color.

  18. If it sounds too good to be true than it usually is. I checked esalon out because I wanted to see what color line they carried. They do not specify what they are using and that is especially scary because they could be using a highly toxic solution. If it is not Organic Color, than it contains toxic PPD"S and AMMONIA. Yes, infact All haircolor does contain these toxins UNLESS it's professional organic haircolor. Ammonia and PPD's have lead to urine cancer, respiratory problems, allergic reactions and even in some, death. It is in fact what you clean your windows and table tops with, so why would you put it in your hair. PPD's are found in dark haircolor and come from "coal/tar" compound used to acheive color hue. Also if your taking away from your hairstylist's rent money, who do you expect to fix your color correction that will be needed when something goes wrong. This is the same as ringing yourself up instead of going to a cashier who happens to be a citizen in your community. Be patriotic support small business, and KNOW WHAT YOUR PUTTING ON YOUR SKIN. I'm Organic for life..that is the way of the future, not getting a mystery chemical tube in the mail, missing spots in the back of your head, and drying out your hair with ammonia. ZooKeeper, while you picked a very pretty shade, I can tell the ends are darker and the hair needs moisture...but I know that because I have been looking at hair for over 16 years. Please be careful what you put on your body.....Organic professional color truely is the safest choice you can make for your life.

    1. What the hell is urine cancer? You don't make sense. Stop typing.

In any and all technicalities, Ammonia is natural. Look it up. Only with significant exposure to ammonia can you get sick- something chemists and formulators are well aware of. No one is trying to kill you.

The reason that Ammonium Hydroxide (what is actually in this hair dye, not pure Ammonia) is used in hair dye, is to boost the pH of the formulation. This allows for pigment to enter follicles in the hair. The cool factor to this is that Ammonium Hydroxide evaporates off the scalp rather quickly- giving that annoying, but far within safety limits, smell. If it didn't evaporate (like some Ammonia free compositions currently out there- the ones that require neutralizing washes after dying processes), the basic nature of the hair dye irritates the scalp over prolonged exposure, and may cause harm (so, just follow the directions on the box, and you'll be great!).

The million dollar question is if someone can find something to raise the pH, evaporate like Ammonium Hydroxide, stay in a pigment/solvent system, safe to all, and is economical.

      Delete
    2. I am cracking up at this! Yeah, what IS urine cancer? I'm a salon owner and stylist and am not worried one bit that this company will steal my money or clients. It's online, I'm in person. If you haven't been coming to me and are using drugstore color, you are not my clientele and so go ahead with the online color formulation. Can't be any worse than just picking from a box on the shelves right? No one is screaming about how John Frieda (a hairdresser) or Vidal Sassoon (a hairdresser) should pull their products off the shelves. These hair icons are selling to the masses to make more money. Be quiet and let everyone make their choices. Stylists should not fear this service.

      Delete
    3. Uterine?? Bladder maybe?? Either way, you sound like a very insecure stylist, definitely not the type any person who had made a mistake coloring their own hair would want to come to. Not everyone is in a position to spend salon prices to get their hair done, in that case, products like this are good. Their are plenty of people who still can afford to get their hair done though, so if your rent isn't getting paid maybe you need to look in the mirror and not berate people for not having $100+ to spend every 6 weeks. I have 3 kids and am barely getting by, and I know I am not the only one, so please "forgive me" for being so unpatriotic and placing my children's needs ahead of my hair and support of small business, as you say.

  19. Thanks to the stylist who made the above comment. Indeed, she is a realist and seems savvy enough to know she can't color EVERY head in the neighborhood. Very glad this stylist does not feel threatened, and neither does my stylist. I certainly still need him for a great cut and quality shampoo, etc. Both of these stylists (Anonymous and MINE) want us, their clients, to look our best. THAT is why I will always need him, and so will most of us who color our own hair. They are the professionals and are much appreciated. Anonymous Client

I am a natural 'dirty-blonde' (basically the color of dust...uck. So I color to a light/med auburn with box color (much like Kristey's finished results). I'm just not all that happy with how quickly box color fades. So I thought I'd give ESalon a try - can't be any worse than box color. 21. How to get out of the esalon trap. Don't tell all your friends about it before trying it like I did. Do not accept their first time buyer discount because the fine print signs u up for "forever deliveries." Before u have a chance to use the first order the second order comes marching along. If u happen to b out of cell range, like I was, they email and ship another order because u didn't read the fine print in that marvelous discounted first order. For the original discount of five dollars, you are now charged $40 for two ordersand they will send u more if u can't get them to call u back. I threatened them with a complaint with the Attorney General's office (consumer protection) for slimy business practices( fine prints r intended to mislead customers).

Their productstains anything thatit comes in contact with and their stain remover does not work. I agree with other posters, the time involved to use their product and the mess in the shower is a nightmare. Since I had stain everywhere and spent 25 minutes cleaning up, u can imagine my horror when in the shower when color went everywhere (although this color doesn't stain they don't tell u that). It's all part of the esalon experience. Color is flat and non dimensional and it works no better than store bought color exceptnow u r paying shipping!

  25. I used the esalon color for the first time yesterday. Natural color is blonde, gray coming in now, a lot-bleaches out in the sun (becomes very light). 26. I color my hair often - and my hair is also really dry and damaged from the coloring sometimes. I've tried so many different shampoos-color, moisturizing, damage repair, curly, and they all pale in comparison to the Shielo Hydrating Shampoo. The Shielo Shampoo really brought out my hair color and made my hair not just shiny but shimmery! After using when you dry your hair, it still smelled so fresh and clean, like I just walked out of the salon.

  27. I used eSalon for the first time a few days ago. The color matching was great. My daughter applied the color and it came out great. It has faded somewhat over the last few days, but I expect that with any color that has red hues to it. It certainly was better than the last experience I had at a salon where the color wasn't left on long enough and, as a result, I had clear lighter areas where my gray was.

  28. My daughter also applied the hair color for me. this is my first experience with esalon, ordered dark blonde in semi perm to cover grey...it did a great job! Very similiar to what I have been paying $150 for. well see how long it lasts, but it looks good, isn't brassy, is soft and smooth...I'll definitely use again in 12 weeks when they send the next one.

  29. Do not risk buying haircolor from this company if you are used to store bought color. Warning: This product being thicker and stronger than store-bought color caused a severe skin reaction that I have never had using any coloring product over three decades. I did not experience the full impact for several hours. Use knowing that in the 30 plus years I have colored both in the salon and at home, I have never had such a reaction.

The open color bottle that had begun to spill out when the package arrived should have alerted me to send this product back but as there was still a seemingly full bottle I decided to give it a try.

The process does take three times as long (an ordeal that another customer on this thread said took two hours and I concur). Additionally, the gloves provided (two sets) all broke as I tried to squeeze my hands into them leaving me gloveless after the color was already mixed. For reference: I am 5'6" tall and weight 140 pounds and am a medium to large frame. This is the first time I ever had my coloring gloves break. Had I not had an extra pair from recently purchased store color, the process would have had to be aborted with the color wasted (another warning I ingnored - if only I hadn't).

The color was so thick that it felt like glue, after 15 minutes of attempting to allow it to rinse out which was impossible, and massaging my scalp frantic at this point to remove this glue/paste-like substance from my scalp, I then washed my hair not once as suggested in the directions but numerous times. A horrible experience inclusive of thoughts of me having to cut off all of my long hair to the scalp to remove this product.

Do not risk using this service and if you home color there are so many superior products that offer better color, gloves that do not break, and ease of use in about a third of the time it takes to use this product. Yes, the product did remove the brassiness that was my desire but with the color too dark, the difficulty of use, the faulty packaging, the need to excessively wash my hair after coloring, and the potency causing a skin reaction, I will stick to less harmful and easy to use store color.

    1. With any home coloring you are instructed to do a skin test; putting it on a small part of your forearm and waiting 24-48hrs to ensure you don't have a reaction. In addition to this, it is well known that you should do a strand test to make sure your hair takes the color correctly. It never fails to amaze me when people buy hair color and don't take the time to do these two things, yet have a fit when they have reaction. Honestly, and I am not trying to be rude, but this is not the companies fault; I am sure a skin/strand test was included in the instructions. People choose to skip this part all the time, which is fine, but when you have a reaction you have no one to blame but yourself.

  30. thank you for your review...I too tried esalon and found it to be pretty good.....nothing spectacularly great but there are some pros and cons I noted
    pros
color is customized to your specifications
color is not harsh or damaging to hair
color is relatively easy to use
they do provide great directions and everything you will need and then some

    cons
color can turn darker then you are expecting
I did have a slight rash on my neck after using it
product does stain skin and surfaces so make ample preparations for that...towels and Vaseline work well

  31. I absolutely love this product. I did not think I would be as happy with the results, especially after my first use where I discovered the color to be slightly darker than I expected. However, after all the compliments I've received, I'll be sticking with this do-it-yourself wallet-friendly option.

  32. I tried it for the first time a week ago -- and I absolutely love it! I went from a pale blonde with about 25% gray to a medium warm blonde. There's no brassiness, the gray is covered, the color is very rich and textured and natural-looking, and my hair feels soft and luxurious. So I'm about to order my next order...

BUT! I would warn any new eSalon user to read and follow the instructions to a T, even if you have a lot of experience coloring your hair, as I do. Read the fine print, too!!! Or else you'll end up getting (and paying for) another order, and then another order...

It remains to be seen how long my color will last, and how quickly I can get my next order, so I can't say I fully recommend yet. But my first experience great!

  34. Dismissed
I used this product for several months in 2012 with good results. I had been going to a stylist and wanted to go back to convenience. After my order was confirmed, I decided to download a picture of myself on the site.(big mistake) I received the following
message: Based on your current photos, we would recommend going darker in order to even out your color. We would need to fill the length of your hair because it is bleached. We will need to formulate a dark blond demi permanent colorfill for you. If you would
prefer to color with permanent, we would recommend first having your color evened out in a salon. It may not completely cover gray hair since demi-permanent dye does not penetrate the hair cuticle the way permanent dyes do. (If gray hair coverage is a concern
for you, let us know and we'll formulate your next order with permanent hair color). After a colorfill, we recommend recoloring when you begin to see your color fading or within 3 weeks. Then if you'd prefer to switch to a permanent hair color you can let
us know with your next hair color order. After responding and assuring them that I was working with a stylist, but I would like to resume the scheduled order I received this message. While we don’t want to lose you as a client, we would rather not send you
an order than won’t deliver the results you’re expecting. After calling the company and telling them I had used the product for 6 months in the past, and that I was following up with a stylist with the recommendations. They asked what had I been doing since
I received my last order, and told me they would not send the product. I have been in business for many years. I called the company because I could not believe they would treat a customer this way. I thought they would value my input, instead I was dismissed.

  36. I actually just used it the first time today. I always use a light/medium brown because it is closest to my natural color. I have waste length hair and only color my hair a few times a year to cover some grays. I sent pics and requested a medium brown. They told me i needed a dark blonde instead and that was what they sent. I went ahead and tried it today. I now have RED hair and still have all the grays. VERY upset and will NEVER use them again.

  38. I HATE E-salon!!! This is my third time getting it and when I dye my hair, it takes like 45 minutes to rinse out all of the dye and suds! Today I scratched my scalp to get it out, and the stuff was under my fingernails! GROSS!! Does anyone else experience this? I'm over e-salon!!

  40. I'm a stylist of 25 years. This sounds great if you can't afford professional color. The benefits of going to a salon is a analysis of your hair and scalp condition which can't be done with a picture. That's why there are mixed reviews. It's really the luck of the draw. If you choose this service I hope it works for you. Color correction is very expensive.
